"House burping," or the German tradition of lüften, involves opening all windows and doors for 5–10 minutes daily to rapidly replace stale, humid indoor air with fresh air. How to "Burp" Your House

Create a draft: Open windows on opposite sides of the house to create a cross-breeze.
Turn down the heat: Temporarily lower your thermostat to avoid losing excessive heat.
